HullSource is an independent reference resource for identifying and researching the companies that build boats in the United States.
Every builder page starts from the public U.S. Coast Guard Manufacturer Identification Code (MIC) database — the official registry of boat manufacturers and importers. We pair that authoritative record with company history, status (active or out of business), and guidance on where owners can find parts and gear, including for discontinued builders where clean information is hardest to find.
We keep official facts (company name, MIC code, location) clearly separated from compiled background. Historical detail is drawn from public sources and shown only where we can corroborate it; where we can't verify something, we show the official record rather than guess. See our Data Sources & Accuracy page for details.
HullSource is free to use and supported by affiliate commissions and advertising. Some outbound links to parts, gear, and marketplaces are affiliate links, which never influence the factual information on a builder's page. See our Affiliate Disclosure.
HullSource is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the U.S. Coast Guard or any boat manufacturer. Manufacturer names and MIC codes are used solely for identification and reference.
